What makes BULUNGI so special?
The coffee bushes that produce BULUNGI coffee grow around the equator between 1,400 and 1,900 meters above sea-level. These ‘highland coffee beans’ grow under the shady leaves of Matoke plantains. Coffee growing in these conditions is known as being “shadow grown”. The farmers pick the ripe, red coffee berries by hand, selecting only the ripe berries to guarantee the highest quality coffee. This harvesting method is called “single picking”. From the green coffee stage to manual roasting in our Vienna roastery, all processing steps can be tasted in the finished product, with every sip evoking thoughts of small-scale coffee fields in Uganda.By choosing BULUNGI for your coffee supply, you’re choosing exceptionally sustainable coffee. Every cup of café+co premium BULUNGI roast supports collective social responsibility.
